St Annes College - Oxford

Working collaboratively with a multidisplimnary design team HC have been commissioned by St Anne’s College, University of Oxford to restore the landscape setting for ten existing Victorian villas along Bevington Road, that provide undergraduate accomidation.

Situated in the North Oxford Conservation Area our proposals sensitively work with the existing fabric to restore the former front gardens, removing areas of hard surfacing and car parking in favour of an ecologically focused green frontage.  The design honours the horticultural domesticity of the former residential villas while providing a new collegiate frontage which greatly improves the urban biodiversity.

Planning approval has now been gained and the project continues to develop toward construction.
